Wondering why a newly professionally rebuilt engine in my 91 tt (stage 1 short block and heads) running sport 500's turbos would suddenly "severely" blow a head gasket on a driving trip....leaving me dead on the side of the road. Engine had maybe 5000 miles on it since the rebuild. Now I'm told the short block is trashed.
Is it a faulty engine build to blame? Running too much boost? (occasionally over 17....never over 20 psi) ?? General opinions solicited. Thanks.
